As a qualified teacher and multi-sport coach, as well as a writer, I can present complex information, concepts and issues in a way that children and young people can understand.

I write about learning, schools, and young people's lives with the insight of a qualified teacher, but also the perspective of someone who sees beyond the system’s surface.

Whether it’s policy, mental health, youth culture or personal development, I bring clarity, empathy, and editorial depth to the subjects I write about.

As a former teacher, I understand how education works from the inside - the demands, the constraints. I know how to ask the right questions, speak the language, and spot what matters.

At the same time, I can challenge assumptions and notice to what’s missing from the mainstream narrative.

I was a regular contributor to Flipside magazine, the IET’s fantastic magazine for secondary school students. Including features on: wildlife, environment & natural history, forensic science, sports tech, DNA, VR, alternate realities, superhero science and tech, UFOs and space tech, James Bond stunts and much more. (A few examples below)

I also contributed to E&T’s award-winning Lockdown Challenge series, which provided practical engineering and technology projects for kids to do with their parents, during the coronavirus pandemic.

I’ve written on educational subjects and issues and produced teaching resources for Scholastic, Mark Allen Education, Times Educational Supplement, School Sport, Questions Publishing, Imaginative Minds, Sec Ed, Electronic Word and many others. I also contributed to a number of Teachers and School Leaders Magazines: Dfe's Teachers, NCSL LDR, NUT's the Teacher, ASCL - Leader and others.

I’m the author of Addressing Special Educational Needs and Disability in the Curriculum: PE and Sports (Addressing SEND in the Curriculum) and have written extensively on SEND and disability; credits include - Community Care, Mental Health Today, Learning Disability Today, RNIB Magazine, Create Digital, E&T and others

I've also written extensively for UK Coaching on a variety of issues of relevance to sports coaches and PE teachers, such as: mavericks, life skills, sleep, mental health, biomechanics, scouting, head injuries, movement fundamentals.

So, if you need education or youth content with clarity, depth, and lived experience behind it?
